Would You use a strong metal membrane that resorbs within a few months?
NOTE! NEW LOCATION - PROIMPLANT CLASS (TÜRI 10C, TALLINN)
Every bone augmentation procedure is unique, necessitating the use of materials with diverse properties. To fulfill the need for resorbable augmentation material that is both strong and durable, we would like to introduce a new regeneration system NOVAMag by Botiss.

Soft and hard tissue management
Botiss offers a wide range of biomaterials to be used in virtually any clinical situation. In his lectures, Dr. Hangyási will provide the rationale for the correct choice of the proper combination of biomaterials for soft and hard tissue regeneration. He will also share his first impressions on new biomaterials cerabone® plus and NOVAMag® including handling tips and a preliminary protocol. Furthermore, Dr. Hangyási will show different methods to increase the gingival volume or the quantity of the keratinized mucosa around implants, focusing on the proper flap design and the suitable soft tissue graft choice for a predictable outcome. His lectures aim to describe the decision criteria for different indications employed in his daily praxis.
360° of bone regeneration
Tooth loss, trauma, or infection can lead to alveolar bone defects compromising the prosthetic-driven implant placement. In order to address this, Dr. Blašković will employ a wide selection of bone substitutes and resorbable membranes. To expand their indications to all types of horizontal defects, including non-self-contained defects, the use of pins and/or tenting screws will also be demonstrated. Furthermore, Dr. Blašković will show different techniques for alveolar ridge regeneration. As an alternative to autogenous bone block techniques, he will make use of a thin allograft bone shell (cortical plate), which can significantly simplify the surgical technique as well as decrease the surgery time and morbidity. (to be confirmed by the speaker)

Dr Marko Blašković
Dr. Marko Blašković graduated from the University of Rijeka Medical faculty in 2003. Afterward, he completed several programs such as the UCLA/glDE Master Program in Implant Dentistry at the UCLA School of Dentistry in Los Angeles, USA, and the Summer School of Periodontology and Implantology in Heidelberg, Germany. Between 2012 and 2016, he obtained his specialization in Oral Surgery at the University of Zagreb. Since 2015, Dr. Blašković has acted as a specialist in Oral Surgery and an associate assistant at the Department of Oral Surgery of the Medical University of Rijeka. In 2016, he was assigned as a specialist in Oral Surgery at the private dental practice Poliklinika Blašković in Rijeka, Croatia, where he has been involved since 2005.
Dr Dávid Botond Hangyási
Dr. Dávid Botond Hangyási received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2007 at the University of Szeged, Faculty of Dentistry. He completed his postgraduate training and earned the degree of Specialist in Periodontology. He runs a private practice in Hungary (Hódmezővásárhely) and has been a part-time lecturer at the Department of Periodontology at the University of Szeged, since 2007. Between 2013 and 2014, he temporarily served as Acting Head of the Department. Since 2015, he has been an Academic Contributor at the Department and a board member of the Hungarian Association of Periodontology. He is providing numerous international and national lectures and courses in periodontology and implant dentistry. His fields of interest are non-surgical periodontal therapy, periodontal plastic surgery, and hard- and soft-tissue management in dental implantology.
What is NOVAMag?
NOVAMag is a bone augmentation material consisting of resorbable magnesium. Magnesium is a biodegradable metal with a long history of use as a medical material, yet the NOVAMag® regeneration system is the first to utilise the material for regenerative dentistry.
Magnesium is ideal for regenerative surgeries. It provides the mechanical stability of a metallic structure while offering reliable degradation and resorption.
Magnesium metal does not need to be extracted, resulting in fewer surgeries, reduced invasiveness, and less chair time.
The magnesium membrane is strong but ductile. It can be trimmed to size and shaped for treating individual bone defects.
Resorbable (within 2-4 months)
A controlled and gradual degradation maintains the fixation capability of the NOVAMag® fixation screw during the critical healing period.
